Three erudite, determined women recognized the lack of an organization in the South Shore that was committed towards offering young diverse women the appropriate tools and resources needed in order to expand their capacity. 

Due to the need, Educated Ladies Empowered to Change, Inc. was established.

December 5th, 2011 : News Spotlight
ELEC, Inc. was featured in The Enterprise newspaper for our 4th Annual winter Drive. We host our Winter Drive every year as an additional way to work together and give back to the community.
 
April 2011 : Announcement!
It is with great excitement that we are pleased to announce that Educated Ladies Empowered to Change, Inc. is now a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. All donations to ELEC, Inc. are tax deductible.
